Old Lycoming Township is a township in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,973 at the 2020 census down from 4,938 in 2010. It is part of the Williamsport Metropolitan Statistical Area.

MOSQUITO CONTROL – WEST NILE VIRUS ALERT: The PA Department of Environmental Protection’s Mosquito-Borne Disease Program will be conducting truck mounted ultra-low volume (ULV) mosquito control operations in Armstrong Twp., Loyalsock Twp., Montoursville Boro., Old Lycoming Twp., South Williamsport Boro., and Williamsport City.  Residential and recreational areas in these municipalities will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes.  The control work will begin late evening on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

 High populations of mosquitoes capable of transmitting West Nile Virus and biting nuisance mosquitoes have been detected in these areas.

The truck mounted ULV spray will be conducted by DEP.  The operation will involve two ULV Spray tucks. I will be on-site for the application.  The business license for DEP is BU 5976.  The product used will be AquaDuet applied at a rate of 0.67 oz/ac.  This product is designed to provide quick knockdown and effective control of adult mosquitoes. Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this spray operation.  If this operation is cancelled, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
